Hey guys, I spent some time browsing the forums and reading a lot of good information. This is a badass site with really helpful/knowledgable members. I'm excited.
I drive an Infiniti QX56 as my main, but it's a work vehicle and I put a lot of miles on it and park it outside 24/7. I am interested in getting a vehicle to pamper. I originally wanted something that would be highly cosmetic with the interior/exterior customized like I've always wanted to do. But lately I've had the itch for performance. I've done a lot of looking around, but keep getting back to a pickup truck. I'm interested in getting something with exhaust, intake, turbo or super charger of some sort (perhaps twin), and am learning about all the other components for performance.
I like the idea of getting an SRT10 because it already has a great base engine (as opposed to if I got a standard 1500 or something) to build from, and from what I hear it was built to handle performance better than other trucks. Like suspension, brakes, etc.
Can anyone fill me in on why I would want a SRT 10 instead of say a silverado or F150? I know they're on completely different planes, but dollar for dollar getting a silverado-type 1500 truck up to the par of a twin turbo'd SRT10 would be very expensive and difficult, right?
I'm going to continue browsing/searching these forums too. Shloads of great info on here.
Thanks guys!
