You need a leak down test, and get a scope and inspect the top of the pistons...at least check out the plugs...look for a fine dust on them...I am worried about this engine...
The plugs have a tiny bit of fine dust, not enough to see without blowing on the plug. There must be a small amount round the deeper ceremic. The deeper ceramic is dark in color. The exposed is bright white. Though the plugs only have about 100 or less miles on them. They are in good condition no chips, cracks, ect.
I have looked down in to cyl 1. Its the only I can see, kinda, without a scope. Its looks ok. I would like to get a scope and look futher.
As far as the oil. I ran the engine for about 5 min this am with my hand over the dischage of the charger at various speeds with the pcv and dischage connections disconnected. Hand stayed dry. The paxton manual has 2 pcv valves on the drivers side pcv hose. They face opposite directions. I only have one. I am pretty certain the intake tube before supercharger is sucking oil from the valve covers, though I can't prove this until I put a catch can inline. Though this will only tell me the charger isn't leaking. It won't isolate blowby.
I am going to do dual fuel pumps and a catch can before I do much more driving. And no hard driving.
I haven't done a leak down test. I do have a leakdown tester. I guess if the lands are cracked that would be best way to determin this?
