Doe anyone know what the rubber peice is on the back of our PCM's? It appears there is a stud on the firewall that pushes it in intentionally?

I don't have one on mine. So I do not know.
I've got 3 pcms in stock, no rubber to be found on any of them.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Really? That's odd. I have 3 PCM's here and they all have it. Attached is a picture of the grommet and the stud.

I don't think I've even seen one like that (not that I go looking) but, once again- Hmmmmmm
The pcm/ecus aren't all that powerful but they do get toasty, so I'd guess a vent of some kind for moisture control.

Possibly a difference between RC and QC pcms? I am unfamiliar with this so can't really lend any help here.
