Hey all,

I am on collecting parts for a 6-speed swap in my 2005 QC. What i'd like to confirm is that if I swap my automatic PCM with that of a 2005 RC PCM- will the truck run with no issues?

Thanks

I haven't personally done a swap, but from what I understand you just need an SCT with RC tunes loaded onto your existing PCM.

The reason I am asking is because I can swap my current PCM for a RC PCM...

Yessir, that's us how mine is. I tried the QC but Torrie couldn't get all tranny related DTC codes deleted so I went to a RC PCM. Of course it'll need to be vin flashed by dealer. :D

Do I just bring them the PCM or does it have to be plugged into the truck for them to do it?

The reason I'm asking this stuff is because I want to do the swap in one day or weekend.

They can do it off the truck.

My bad I thought the dealer has the same equipment as B&G or D.C. performance.

Do they charge a lot of money to do that? What else do they change? Just the VIN?
