i was lookin at my pcm and it has a sticker over another sticker that says "authorized sofware update" does that mean i have a flash. both stickers have bar codes on them.

This means that you pcm has been updated to a later, factory authorized calibration. DCX comes out with software revisions to address drivability and emissions issues that come up after the vehicle is in production. The last two letters indicate which revision you have, in other words the first calibration may be 5029599AA, if they came out with a second cal it would be 5029599AB, a third 5029599AC, and so on.
