Crazily, the first thing I had in mind to do is turn on the XBOX.. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.. But washing a load of clothes sounds like a good thing to do..

Good luck to all of you hit by Ike. We live on the east coast of South Fl. So we know how it feels. After Willama 16 days without ele. We have a house in Punta Gorda, Fl. we still have not been able to finish repairing after Charlie. But we have our health and eachother. Are prayers are with you all.:D

That is so devastating to look at. I hope everyone gets the help they will need to recover from something so horrible. I cannot even imagine :(

God Bless everyone and their families ...............

My wife has two brothers that live by the Houston airport. Both are still without power. Luckily for them, they do not have any major damages.

You know, what ISN'T shown in those pictures are the gruesome scenes that no one is talking about (or wants to). Just on the other side of the ferry route, on the Bolivar Peninsula, all of the wooden homes that were once there are gone. For those that are familiar with this area you would know that most (if not all) of these homes were on stilts. The residents there were trapped after not taking heed to warnings to evacuate. Sadly, because the peninsula is surrounded by the swelling Galveston Bay, East Bay and Gulf of Mexico they had a terrible fate. This whole week Bolivar resembled a deep swamp. We all know what creatures dwell in swamps. Alligators have been seen from aerial views feasting on the hundreds upon hundreds of human cadavers floating in the water. The military has now deemed this area a no fly zone. This is why helicopters are unable to get in there and film this terrible scene. Many of us just lost electricity. These folks lost there lives AND burial rights. Now, many would say it served them right for not listening.. But for most of those people they couldn’t afford to leave. Bolivar was a small poor community when compared to the likes of Tiki Island, Galveston. My prayers go out to these victims and their families..

You should have taken her to Doneraki's on Westheimer.. You could have paid the sombrero wearing Mariachi trumpet players to sarenade her while she sips on some great frozen margaritas....
