Pic's of my son's '71 Duster after paint

Very nice. Your son and you should be very proud. That car reminds me of my first ride -- a 1974 Duster with a 360, 727 Torqueflight and a 8-3/4 open rear end. My Dad helped me put it together -- although I paid -- excellent lesson in life. The car made a ton of HP and made me friends with the local used/recap tire guy -- I'm sure this one will do the same.

Duster are so under rated.
Had friends that had the 340 dusters, and they were so fun to blow away all the turds driving new Z28's in the early 80's. They looked sweet with a set of N50 in the rear.

sweet ride.Great choice in color!! You have taught your son well.Good luck with the project!!

thats freakin sweet, he ought to be proud of that. hows he gonna get it to the nats in july:D

Thanks Eddie. Well we got two ways, either pull it with his truck, '02 diesel or pull it with Shellie's truck '07 Hemi. If Drew pulls it with his, that means taking an extra vehicle. If we pull it with Shellie's we can all ride together. I am not bringing the Coronet or Rhino this year, last year was too much like work!!

Beautiful duster----either a hemi---or go with the 360 for cubes and 340 heads and I beleave summit still carries the edelbrock mopar factor 6pack manifold and holley carbs....

That's a slick car. I know it's a Duster but it reminds me of my dad's old car. He had a '71 Demon back in the day with the 340, 3/4 racing cam, 3.73s, etc. It ran low 13's on those stock Mopar 15' pizza cutters.

Beautiful car...........I love the Dusters. My favorite car to watch at my local drags is a black duster.....not sure of the year, buts it very loud with a wonderful tone and runs in the 10.90 bracket.

Thanks for the compliments,we bought it when he was 14,he is now 17. He has spent over 10,000.00 of his own money in those 3 years. He earned it by mowing yards. Not a V-10 or Hemi but a 400 horse small block.
