Cool pics, it is really an interesting profession. I watched the whole Black Gold series too, but that was starting to turn into another OCC if you know what I mean.

Good pics bro, I spent a couple of years delivering equipment to those locations... Although I've never seen the ups and downs of the rigs.

yeah i stoped watching it after the 2nd Show i saw.. they were like it's going to blow!...and they didn't even have a BOP on the stack....in short they were only maybe 600 ft deep it can't blow that deep lol very fake

just got done with drilling a bunch of new wells at our plant site up in canada, where are you drilling?

That is impressive...I sure would not want to be at the top of the tower! Although I imagine the equipment is more dangerous on the ground:dontknow:

I'm all for drilling. The more US oil, the better.

Bill.

right on man, I'm doing the same thing... I have been on a Greywolf rig for 2 weeks now which is a long time for me. It usally only takes us a day to get our logs.

I have seen kicks on surface before too. And yes the Black Gold show was way over exagerated. BTW that is a pretty clean looking rig. How deep do you guys drill to? I have worked in Wheeler before. Is that close to where your rig is?

What the hell is radioactive??!

That's certainly a "danger" I wouldn't have expected!

It's a radioactive source for logging tools. It's not dangerous unless some dumb a$$ puts it in his pocket and takes home to make a pet rock out of it... then it becomes a problem.

i mean i know it can blow out that shallow but come on it was clear he left his fill up line kicked in thats what i ment..and i don't want to be no where near that kinda shit taking a kick that shallow lol and my rig right now I transfered to one of these new fancy rigs with hydrolic pins and legs the floor squats and what not..... but we have been going 15-16 thousand foot
