It's a radioactive source for logging tools. It's not dangerous unless some dumb a$$ puts it in his pocket and takes home to make a pet rock out of it... then it becomes a problem.

hahaha i know a few guys who would prolly try that lol:rock: :marchmellow: :marchmellow:

yeah it's kinda crazy cause b4 i transfered to this rig we were only going 10,000ft and now when we trip out of the hole we fill both sides of the derrick and still have to lay some out

Hey Tool, here are some acoustics tools that I build and maintain at different locations around the world that would work on the bottom end of a drill string. They are used offshore and on land.

Ahh so your the guy to blame when the motors Down Hole STop Working! hahahahahaha:burnout:

and I would love to go work off shore one day or for that fact build rigs around the world it'd be a change

We are currently at 15,250'. We just ran a 5" liner. Tried to drill out from that point on. Apparently we had a bad cement job. We lost all returns. Just finished the second squeeze job. We're picking up BHA now to go in and try to drill out again. Only have 500' more to go to TD this well then log it and bring it online.

This has been a crazy well. The drillers out here are fairly young and are scared to make decisions on their own. We've blown mud straight to the crown twice because they were scared to shut it in and needed confirmation to shut in. Dude, don't be scared SHUT IT IN!!!!! I don't go near the floor, I stay here in my unit or near the life boats.
