What is the factory Pinion Angle for a QC SRT10?

I am going to a 4wd lift shop tomorrow to see if they can check/fix my pinion angle if that's what is causing my vibration.

So I need the factory angle as a place to start.

Thanks.

According to the FSM -- propeller shaft 3-4, operating angels should be less than 3' and the cancellation angle should be <= 1'

Cancellation angle is described as the difference between the forward and rear joints.

It should be noted here you *do* need a little angle on the ends to make sure the needle bearings in the u-joint caps rotate. I can see how a lowered truck will run into problems with this. Maybe a good idea to check the u-joint crosses for galling while you're at it.

This is true for both the single and 2 piece drive shafts on a 2wd truck. 4WD's are something entirely different.

On a 2 piece shaft forward and rear correspond to that segment of the shaft.

They also note that motor mounts, trans mounts, shaft balance, and shaft run-out can all cause speed sensitive vibrations.

OK. I really appreciate that info. If they don't already have that pinion angle information, they are probably going to want it.

I really need to get around to buying a FSM.

fixed this on mine today it smoothed right out, the pinion was pointed 10deg up, i set it 4deg down

I was told that mine is 3 degrees down. Gotta get some shims.
that don't sound far off at all, unless your drag racing with slicks then axle wrap up would need to have more pinion down to counter, is your truck lowered ? mine was lowered when I bought it and the rear was off center to the right but after loosening and adjusting the rear centered back. mine is a qc if it matters, the manual shifted vehicals require a different setting than a automatic due to the harshness of the shifting.

Well the truck feels fine till about 85 mph... After that I get a WICKED vibration all throughout the drivetrain. I mean it has a loud noise and also shakes the shifter and floor.

It's scary. I haven't done anything about it, I really should but I'm doing so many other things right now. I have to prioritize.
