To my family, friends, co-workers, and duning friends;

I have decided to run for one of five volunteer/non-compensated public positions within the District Advisory Council, which is operated by the Bureau of Land Management, California Desert District.

The DAC is compromised of 15 private individuals who represent different interests and advise BLM officials on policies and programs regarding the administration of the 11 million acres of BLM managed lands throughout the Southern California Area, I am particularily interested in the Imperal Sand Dunes area.

All council members are non-paid, and only receive reimbursement for their travel expenditures during the course of their duties, so you can be rest assured that this is something that I am not doing for money, but to preserve the public land that is currently open use for our future generations to use and enjoy is one of the primary things that I have been fighting towards while working closely with the ASA (American Sand Association).

I feel that my previous success of running the ASA Checkered Flag Program, Website, and the Pound Sand Shows speak for themselves.

In order to nominate myself for the role I need at least one letter of recommendation however the more letters I get the better chances I have at securing one of these highly coveted roles.

Therefore as my friends I am asking each one of you to write a short letter of recommendation and send it to me, as I must include them in my packet that I am sending over to the BLM.

In order to be considered I must have my completed information to BLM by December 1, 2008. I know time is short, but I hope that you will take a few minutes of your busy time to help me out with this very important opportunity.

Please PM if you would like to support me in this, and I will send you my address for the letter, if you know someone else who may be willing to help me out, please forward this email to them.

Thank-you in advance for your time;

I'll send a letter recommending you:rock: . Got any samples you could post (or PM or email) :dontknow:

Don't you live in Arizona? Can you be on a California board without living there?

Yes, I i live in AZ, but since the BLM is a federal agency they are not bound by "state lines"
