plug for brake controller

I was looking under the dash and I cannot find the connector for the brake controller to plug into. I thought all trucks had one even if they didn't have the tow package. I have an 04 RC.

It's a sign that you should't tow with a RC, although some do with no issues...but if you need a brake controler you may be pushing it a bit

no only if the vehicle is equipped from the factory it will have it. You can add it by getting the Mopar 7-way wiring kit

I don't plan on towing anywhere big enough to require it. I was installing a U-Connect set up and noticed it wasn't there by the e-brake like it should be and was curious as to why it wasn't there. The 03 I trade in for this one has the 4-way under the dash even tho it didn't have the tow package.

if it requires Rewiring the truck to have it, you probobly shouldnt do it, what do you need to tow over 3500#'s?

I don't think I'll ever tow more than a 5 x 10 trailer maybe oncv e or twice a year I just expected to see it under the dash and I didn't.

with mine, it was WAY UP on the far side, theres a cover and they sometimes get tucked behind the paking brake assambly, i can try and get pics, mines a QC but should be similar enough

I'll look a little harder next time I'm under the dash. I just foung it odd that I didn't see it.

the one in my burban is in the fuse box. the only reason they built the burban was to tow. i have never looked for that in the fuse box but i did notice the day i needed to find the one for the lighter its got like 100 fuses. so could it be there? i guess a better place to look is under the rear of the truck. if it had it, it should be tucked under the back as well.
