Gents, I know there's some out there that want their intake manifolds polished. I've done research online and most shops or companies charge $700-$800 plus the 4 to 5 week turnaround time. The cost and time are pretty much hard to get over. I have a local guy that does outstanding work at a fraction of the cost and time.

Not trying to step on any vendors toes so if interested, feel free to PM me for any details.

Luke i am your father:D

This is probably the most quoted line from one of the most famous trilogies of all time, but as any Star Wars nerd is quick to point out, most of us still haven't got it right. The moment when Darth Vader reveals himself to be Luke's father is one of the greatest twists in cinematic history, but the actual line Vader belts out between wheezes isn't quite as quotable as this condensed version with the inserted Luke so we all know who the hell the line refers to. The actual line following Luke's accusation of Vader about killing his father is "No. I am your father." Makes more sense in context, but without the same ring. But now you know. I hope I've managed to save some of your nerd cred.

I got a spare 6.1 manifold I am thinking of painting or getting dipped. Thanks for throwing in another option now.

no problem, bro. i like the fact that it's buffed and polished as opposed to coated, painted, or pc'd. that shit has a chance of peeling or chipping.

what did you use to keep the aluninum oxide from forming in a couple days? is it clearcoated ?

Your gonna need to paint it! Aluminum is difficult for paint to stick to!

Anyone try Anodizing one of these?

By the way that looks like someone really took their time with it. Really nice job.

Looks really good, keeping the water spots off is the tough part! There's a sealer called "Zoop" I believe that seals polished aluminum and keeps it shiny like new that you cam put on it.
