spoke with roe and he said to run race gas at the track for added insurance and not to turn it over 5000rpm's for safety

Now there are very safe ways to go at the rebuild way short of where I went...and the truth is that I will have a FI modified engine and it might destruct on start-up...shit happens.

How much did all that set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Hey everyone! Where did anyone see me say that we should run out and
demand Dodge replace all our internals right away for free? You didn't!
My thought was to be discreet and covert in approaching Dodge with this
issue and making sure they understand that we are strong supporters of their
SRT program, not adversaries. And like I wrote before there is a huge
difference between free and COST. As far as any court action, that is a
LAST resort. I have first hand knowledge that there is a legal principle that
a product should perform to a level consistant with accepted standards
of intended use regardless of any warranty, or words to that effect, and it
appears Dodge has already found that out the hard way.THANKS, RONIN!
To sum up, I do not feel that this product lives up to the advertised level of
performance and DURABILITY, which deserves some degree of support from
the manufacturer and was simply trying to see how many like minded
individuals we had and get their .02
HaulinAsp said::dontknow: So I guess the MOPAR Headers and the Catback Magnaflow and a Cold Air Intake are extreme mods that will push the engine over the edgeOr was it the driving around on a 94 octane tune from KRC..... This adds up to 480 maybe hp......

HaulinAsp said:Anyone have an e-mail contact to the SRT Division? I want them to know that because they built such a great platform which now sits in my garage on an engine stand, that I am strongly leaning on dropping an 800 horse CUMMINS DIESEL in the engine bay........ I wonder if Steve can make me some new emblems for it : RATTLE SNAKE![]()
Silverback said:That's not the same list of mods that were listed earlier. I seem to remember that CAT delete, and the PCM.
By the way, the CAT delete is in violation of federal law. They can spank your pee pee pretty hard if they catch you and decide to make an example of you.
So yes, when you throw in the CAT and PCM mods, you are a long way from stock. I'm sure it was running lean and there was detonation. And if it's rebuilt with forged pistons and everything else is left the same, it will happen again. It will just take longer to break down the forged pistons.
HaulinAsp said:Mopar headers come with the cat delete pipes so no need to mention it again and again- I installed the parts personally and I read their little warning on running the pipes on the street- it made me smile....... and the 94 octane tune is the SCT from KRC. They can suck my pee pee for what I have gone through- my mild mods are minimal in comparison. Fact is the saved themselves on solving the emmissions problem- (- blowby on startup with forged pistons- installed cheaper hypertectic pistons which swell faster) and saved money at our expense down the road. Who the hell purchases a SRT *Street Race Track vehicle and doesnt do minimal mods to it to keep it competitive??
Me thinks my new project RATTLE SNAKE will solve my durability issues and give me gobs more power and torque......
