HAHA!! I knew after test driving it you would have the M5 somewhere on your list Walt. After all, if you are able to give up your baby for that car....

Anyway, was just wondering if you know that BMW offers you the choice of receiving your car in Germany, getting a factory tour, driving your car around on the autobahn, and then having them ship it home for you. And it even saves you about 5-8K on the price. After airfare and hotel, etc, you still save money and get a free vacation to boot.

Greg

Cool, i did not know that....now that would be fun.....I might need to check into that if I were ever to get one...:)

This is really hard for me to list just 10 since I'm sucha car nut, but I'll try.

10).Who am I kidding.........I can't do it with just 10, but here are some of my most favorites:
2005 Ram SRT-10 CE (obviously)
2001-2006 BMW M3 E46
1995 BMW M3 Lightweight edition
2001-2005 Porsche 911 Turbo

1986-1989 Ferrari 328GTS and GTB

The one car that I would probably sell my soul for: a White 2003 Ferrari Enzo

Oh and Walt, if you decide to do the European delivery thing with an M5 let me know, I'll give you some good places to see when you pick it up. I did the Euro delivery with my last M3. It as really fun, but it didn't really save me any money. Definitely worth the experience though.

That one and the 1969 Trans Am(400 cu. in. I think?) almost made my list too. Hey Mopower, I used to own a 1970 Satellite with a 426 max wedge that was street legal and ran 11s with wheels in the air on pump gas!!!! Am I cool enough for you yet?

Come on Ratman;) you need to tell me more than that. Did he like it? Why did he sell it? Pro's/Con's? I'm really thinking about selling the truck this fall and ordering one.

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68097

He only sold it because he gets bored too quickly with his cars - always looking for what he's going to get next. I don't think he's ever kept anything more than about a year or two.
If you're looking for a Cobra rep, the Superformance cars are about as good as they come. Fit and finish are fantastic, all the mechanicals are top quality and designed specifically for this car - no hacking up an old Mustang for steering\suspension like most kits. The only problems he ever had were a cooling fan wired in reverse( engine installer fault, not the car) and one of the clips holding one of the rear halfshafts came loose, allowing the shaft to pull out of the housing just enough to leak out the diff oil. I believe they replaced the shaft and diff under warranty.
Lance, the gentleman who owned the dealership in Newport Beach when dad bought his, has recently bought out the whole company. Although the factory is still in South Africa, I believe he has sped up delivery times - dad had to wait 5-6 months from order placed to delivery of the roller, another month or two for engine\trans installation.
You wouldn't want to make a road trip in one, but for short trips on a nice afternoon, it's one of the most fun cars you can own. No radio, no top, just four wheels and a big motor with the exhaust dumping about a foot away from your ear.

....as long as you are under 5'10" tall and have small feet, otherwise forget it. These cars are insanely tight in the leg and foot area. I am 6'2" and 245, tried to sit in one and couldn't even get in all the way!!
