I purchased a portable water deionizer from Griot's Garage a few weeks ago. I am very impressed. My water in Calgary has 150ppm hardness and the deionizer took it down to 0ppm. I washed three of my vehicles and did not dry them off. It was sunny and I had no spots. I dried the 10 with a shammie and it looked like I just waxed it. The glass is clear and there is no filmy schmeg left on the paint. With three black vehicles, I'm one happy camper!:D :D

Sounds a little expensive to use----Being as you have to replace the deionizer resin at $90+ a pop.....What are the resin change intervals recommended by the manufacturer????

I'm not sure about the PPM's of the water in my area of Florida, It is considered and known to all in this area to be the worst...Most won't drink it....

kool! been looking for something to replace the mr.clean systems,as they no longer make them and filters are getting scarce:(

I bought 7 of the Mr. cleans for $5 each at big lots about 6 months ago---They are only good for just short of 2 truck washes using the water here... Would love to find something that worked permenatly....

I will let you guys know how long the resin lasts. It is on the expensive side, but to get rid of the spots and film is worth it!!. I had a number of people last week ask me how I got my truck so clean. One guy said "SRT's have special paint you konw.":D :D :D
