Potentially buying an 06, have questions.

Man, if you get one, you will love it hands down.

You will love it every day you drive it.

You will love the looks you get from other people.

You will love the respect you get from other owners of fast vehicles . . . . . if you can shift fast enough :D

I enjoy my 10 so much more than my 05 vette . . . . . it is a 500 hp truck that is good for nothing than having a good time . . . that is why it is so cool!:rock:

These trucks have a chronic slave cyl issue, but it can be corrected with the right upgrades easily.:burnout:

Where is this truck located? Could be my old one...btw, 06's are the best :aetsch:
 
U will love the truck hands down and be ready to have ppl starring and giving you props on how bad @ss your ride is
 
You will love the truck. But check it out as best you can. And as mentioned, post up the location of the vehicle and somebody here may be able to check it for you before you make the drive to purchase.

Some things that went bad for me on my 06:

1. Oil Lines
2. Power Steering Pump
3. Fan Module
4. Brake Fluid Level Sensor (had to replace the complete reservoir).
5. Clutch Master Cylinder
6. Serpentine Belt

My truck is still under the base 3/36 and these issues were all covered under warranty.

Some other things you can do to improve the truck and not spend big $$$ on.

1. If you can find one, replace the OE Hurst shifter with a B&M. XMetal is another shifter choice as well but they are hard to find too.
2. Hit up Stinker for replacement braided oil lines.
3. Replace the OE air filter element with a K&N drop in.

Additional things to watch out for:

1. Signs of vehicle abuse or previous accident damages/shoddy repairs.
2. Power steering lines, like the oil lines, have a known history of leaking.
3. Check the above mentioned items as well.

Mileage: I average around town 9.5 to 11 (on a good traffic day). Highway mileage: last week I averaged 13.8 - 14.2. Don't expect greatness in this category, lol.

thats definitely Cody's truck!!! He jsut got ride of it bro....nothing mechanically wrong with it that I know about....He was just in a difficult situation and the truck had to go.....If your looking for one...buy it! it has full 3k exhaust already! the best system out there! B&B!!

Yeah thats my truck, i see her every day :( I PM'd you my number man. The truck had alot of TLC put into her, but has been driven as intended :D Has the best (& loudest) exhaust of any 10 on this site for sure. Lots of lil goodies, i heard word that they had trouble with the tranny a few weeks after i got rid of her, but they paid and got it all fixed. Shes unique, a real champ (ask Dan) :D:D:D just call me sometime ill tell ya anything ya wanna know about her
