So I replaced my powersteering today(2005 10) at the crafy shop on post. Seemed to be running great. Get home and is pouring power steering fluid all over my drive way. It is coming from the pressure line I tried to picture. Is there supposed to be an O-ring here? I didn't see one when I took the old pump off. I replaced all the rings that came off the old pump. This line was a pain in the butt to loosen in the first place(tight space, and on tight). What am I missing?

I can upload picture for whatever reason. The line it is, leaking from is on top of pump to the left of the fill cap looking from the front of truck.

Thanks for the time

If you are talking about the line that is attached to the pump itself, mine was leaking like a madman also. Apparently that is a common problem. Mine was leaking right where the fitting attaches to the line. There is a pretty big gap there.

Brand new from the dealership is over $200 just for that line.

I bought both upper and lower lines from JTSVP.com and they are steel braided and awesome.

I just did that swap last week. Here's the writeup:

Get some from Tony, once I ordered them they came in like 2 days.

It is possible to order the individual line fittings from the dealership but they are $96 each- just for the fitting- then you have to take the line to a hydraulic place and have it installed.

That is exactly where it is leaking, also like a mad man. It wasn't leaking at all before I changed the pump. Thanks skyy, I will look into the link when I get into to a computer and not my phone. It is frustrating that the line cost so much more than the pump though. I appreciate it man

skyy406, i am unable to view the link for the swap you sent me. It says I am not authorized.

Along with that, when I go vtcoa home page not logged in, I can see the truck of the month, recent post, blah blah blah...When I am logged in, I am not authorized.

I did look at the power steering lines jtsvp.com and the do look nice as you said. Im going to look into those. Thanks again.
