Price on front air dam

I have an '06 but should be the same. Insurance adjuster said they would pay $700 to have it replaced and painted. Unfortunately, my deductible is $1,000 so I went to have it done myself. I checked with Dragon here on the forum and it was $1,100 installed and painted. I can't believe how much they cost. Anyway, I never had mine fixed because the cost pisses me off. If I could get a new one painted for $500 I would be happy as hell and $250 would blow my mind. I can't believe the markup on this stuff! I found it to be more than 4x the dealer cost to get this done if dealer cost is only $250.

Chris- the 06's have a different front fascia than the 04's and 05's.

I know they are different but the cost should be darn close to the same, which is what I meant by "should be the same". Cost should be the same is what I meant. Couldn't be more than $100 different could it?
