I was planning on just getting some black lugnuts down the line.

I wouldn't do that. Brad had an issue with the black lugs for our truck, how much of an issue, they broke and his wheel came off LOL (I/we can laugh about it now but it's no laughing matter). I don't know the whole story but he said it was to do with the black lugs. I looked at getting the same black Gorilla lug nuts but there were several reason I didn't. They are longer so stick out more (not my style) and are basically a permanent item, if you don't like them you must remove them all = PITA. So, I looked around and purchased some ColorLugs lug nut cap covers. They are an awesome tight fit that will never come off without a "special" extractor tool (basically tweezers).

The thing I like about the caps vs. black lug nuts is I have the choice of chrome or stealth without having to spend an hour taking all the wheels off and swapping. Also, safety, after seeing what happened to Brad's rim and them possibly being the cause, I'm not going to take that risk. To me, it's an easy choice but it's your call and your ride, do what makes you happy and post photos too so we can have a perv! They come in all colors and yes, yellow and red are some of those colors. Nice touch, cheap, tight fit and easy to remove. Keep spares in the car and you're good to go.
