Congrats!!

Keep an eye and ear out for a red supercharged SRT Ram that will be in New Zealand I believe next year. I forget where the new owner resides in New Zealand, I'll have to ask him again.

Thanks everyone! Can't wait now.:toilet:

Cool, will do mate. :) If you could "refer" him or advise about my Mopar Registry, www.nzmoparregistry.com that would be awesome. ;)

Cool, thanks mate but I already found those photos while searching this forum for Night Runners etc. Very, very, nice, indeed. I can't wait to get mine and take some nice scenic shots, car photography is a part time hobby. Love that truck mate and it gives me more reasons to start eating my hanky LOL.

Cheers. ;)

Congrats on your purchase - hope to see some pics real soon  :D

Congrats with your new toy
I also imported my SRT/10 truck from the US to the Netherlands..
I could pick up the truck from the harbour of Rotterdam 2 weeks ago..
The truck is now still waiting for a new dutch licensplate and after that can finally drive with the truck (legal) on the european roads!!
I know how it feels if you are waiting for your truck.. But it's also a great time when you could finally pick up your truck and run with the truck for the first time back home..
I like the SRT nightrunner trucks very much... good job..

Thanks Brother.

Nope. There are 5 conversion rules when importing cars from the US Motherland.

1) If it's older than 20 years, you don't need to convert it, eg: Before 1987 is fine.
2) You can own the car for 90 days in the country of origin then bring it back and you won't have to convert it.
3) You can fly the seller and their car down here if they've owned it longer than 90 days and buy it off them while they're in NZ and you don't need to convert it.
4) Pay $18-25K and convert it professionally to RHD (my choice).
5) Be a Mad Max rebel with no regards to the law and keep it LHD, no REG/WOF or license. LOL

The reason I want it RHD is I'm not 100% familiar with the other methods and I have heard of paperwork "muck ups" where the truck and paper work had to be recalled and some long process commenced. This (for me and many others) is 101% fool proof, do it once, do it right. Plus, being a daily/weekly driver I want things like drivethrus etc to be on the right side, just driving in general is a little easier most of the time. Plus, I have two E-Bodies which are LHD so I have my "American driving style" fix sorted with them. :)

$25K is a lot but when you do the hard yards and buy direct from the US people downunder save HUGE $$$. I'm probably looking around $65-70K converted and ready to drive, remember, this is NZ so it's supply and demand for these trucks. You think that's bad, most of the modern Rams sell for $100K+, so, I've saved myself the best part of $40+K by skipping the middle men.

Check this out, it'll blow your mind what these trucks are worth down here.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/browse/sea...hRegion=100&type=Search&sort_order=price_desc

Remember, the prices are prices, no exchange rate. $1 to me is $1 to you, we know no different, only when you exchange these funds do the values change. When you say $5 for a beer I hear $5 for a beer, anyhow.......get ready for a draw drop lol.

Cheers,
Carl

WOW YOUR NOT WRONG 145K FOR THE SAME AS MINE CRAZY STILL ITS ALWAYS BEEN A BIT CRAZY FOR OVERSEAS VEHICLES,THANKS FOR THE INFO,YOU WONT REGRET BUYING YOU TRUCK,GREAT FUN FOR A LARGE TANK.
STEPHEN:D :burnout: :driver:

Thanks Stephen. :)

For reference, if you sold your truck down here for that price ($145K NZD) that equates to $102,000 USD. So, factor in you'd need to RHD, $20K NZD ($14K USD) + shipping $2,000 USD from LA-NZ. You'd probably get $75-$80,000 USD for your truck, definitely worth thinking about for some of you guys looking at selling, if you're going to sell, making a quick (double your money) profit is no crime. ;)

Yup, it's almost silly not too really eh. Extra effort but a couple of weeks o planning, money down and stress offers a great profit. :)

Thanks bud, love yours too, they just look, so, tough!
Since I have never been around one in person (let alone driven or sat in one) how big are they? Looking at that photo of you? next to it dwarfs you! Do you have any height and length figures? I'll do a search but in the meantime you may know off the top of your head. I "think" I saw they're around 5.1meters long. :dontknow:

Thanks for the photos & vids, don't forget to post them up in my "Night Runner Photo Album" thread.

Cheers,
Carl
