Today when I came home, I was reversing up a little hill on the side of my driveway and my truck died out on me. RPM's was just above idle as I was going very slow, motor just shut off. This is the second time this has happened to me in a week. First time I was creeping up my driveway, which is a little steep, truck was in D and same thing, rpm's just drop and motor just cut off on me. I wasn't able to see if I had any oil pressure drop right before it died out since it just happened out of no where. All oils/fluids are fine, oil pressure is right where it needs to be (75psi on start up idle, after long drive with oil temp at 210 idle down round 30psi, 50-75psi driving around depending on engine load and rpm), there's no loss of power truck still hauls ass. I'm kinda baffled as to why this happened and wondering if I should be worried. The first time I thought it was because the incline of the hill and my low fuel level was the factor, but today it happened on a smaller hill and I still have just above a half tank. I dunno what's up, could use some advice. Praying it's not an oil cavitation issue, (oil is still less than 3,000 miles old) Thanks guys.

is the idle normal or is it eratic

Did you remove the 2lbs of Maui Wawi from the air box????????:D :marchmellow:

It idles normally, no wierd engine noises either. It's wierd, one second it's doing just fine and the next it's shut off.

That happens to me all the time. It only happens In reverse when I am turning at a Angle

That's pretty much what I was doing, reversing up a little hill while turning....WTF?

First time I was going straight, on an uphill at the tip top of my driveway.

I'm baffled....Wiring?

I mean its been happening to me since i bought my truck. Everything else is fine so It does not bother me that much:dontknow:

^^Ahh that's right forgot about that little part lol, it does that when rpms are real high. doh!

Still dunno what's up, rpms are right around or a little above idle when it happens.

I have that happen to me sometimes too. But only going in reverse pulling out of my drive way.

TPS

If it is still on warranty take it in for checkup. Have them test the throttle Position sensor for a possible dead spot. or you may just have a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you done any modification work lately?:dontknow:

RGR that, thanks man, that maes sense.

Truck is going in next week.

I havent put the mods on yet, they are all still in the boxes. Only mod so far are the caltracks.

Oh and I finally have a brand new front bumper!
