I have a 99 Dakota, I just replaced all the shocks but when you stand behind or infront of the truck it looks like it leans to the passenger side. What would cause this?

Most likely spring sag on one side. I have had a few Dakotas and while no vehicle is perfectly level, I have never had one bad enough to notice with the naked eye.

Bill.

my truck only has leaf springs. I never have seen a 4 wheel drive without front springs except for mine.

Dakota 4wd has a torsion bar front suspension. you can adjust the torsion bars to adjust ride height.

What he said. I had a 97 Dakota also. You can adjust the torsion bars. You may need a 7/8 socket and an impact gun. You can use muscle but you'll be there for a while.
