Okay, so I went to a local audio shop to see how much they would charge to do my install. Lets just say they were complete idiots. But I was wondering, I was about to purchase (2) JL Audio 10w3v3's for my fox accoustics box and then saw the JL Audio 10w6v3's. I was just trying to see if there would be a big difference between the two. One is $250 each while the other is $500. Just seeing if anyone had knowledge about subs and could help me out. This weather needs to lighten up in the North here its killin me.

Thanks guys
Steve

Depends what beer you prefer to drink of course. I was at school in florida for 4 years couldn't find a 30 pack for 1000 miles. Now, i'm back in glory downing coors lights.

okay for sure, only thing is the in dash is on its way now. The subs and amp i'm waiting on because i'm trying to decide which ones to get. Where do you live?

COORS LIGHT? You been drinking some real skunk piss if U call that beer. Downstream water out here is what the bears piss....Haha...

I'd like to tag along, here in Monmouth county. Looking for some 10 owners around here.

I imagine its the total wattage each can take. Go big or go home. $500 sound about right for a sub that can hold wattage! I was a huge solobaric fan but not sure if they even make those still? Mine held 1500 watts and I pushed 1400 to it for years! 1 15" L7

I hear ya! I had a single 12" L5 and it's output was intense, way beyond anything my previous two 10"s could put out. I'm not sure if they even make the Solobaric square subs any more.

i THINK i'm gonna have to go big or go home. Figure I can get my set of 10w3v3's for $500. Or i can just double it and get 2 10w6v3's for $1000. I bought the SRT 10 to go big so mine as well keep it going.

The issue is space in these trucks. Can't fit a big box for a big sub under the seats.

Ideally, id love a Rockford Fosgate T2 10" sub.

No where to put it though.

You're gonna give up a JL Audio sub for one of these? Either I'm crazy or you're crazy, but certainly we're not both crazy. What am I missing?

you know I do things for certain reasons. I heard the sundown in person. hands down better than the Jl
.

I dunno ladies, I've been partial to JL Audio for quite some years. Is the issue with space that raises the need for the Sundown Slims? Yeah, yeah there's a significant space issue for certain. To each his own I suppose. I HAD to have the JL's so I HAD to decide for an enclosure to be built that will accommodate the humongous magnets fitted on the 12" W6's I wanted to install. If there is a product line out there better sounding then, well, :dontknow:I haven't heard it.
