When I put the truck in cruise control, say at 70, It has a slight pulsating surge to it even on very strait flat highway.

Anyone else experience this?

How is the cruise control governed on these vehicles? I know some vehicles run via vacuum!

It may be going into slight boost, then you are too fast for the cruise control and then it slows you down, only to start over again.

If you look at your VEC software you program a fuel duration at specific load (boost/vacuum) conditions also which could also add to the condition.

these are set-up with a servo so it does use vacuum
