This is true... the 4.0 is prone to air bubbles in the system.
 
Thanx for all the input fellas, Im gonna tear into it this weekend and see what I can find because I had to have missed something.
 
Pull the coolant temp sensor out (right on top of the thermo housing if its a 4.0). pour water into the radiator until the coolant/water comes out of that hole. That'll make sure you have no air in the system.
