Quick and simple question.

Ok. sounds good. thanks for the input guys.
Any input on the difference between brands of oil filters (ex. Fram and K&N)? I already bought the K&N gold filter, but just curious if it really matters when you change synthetic oil every 3000 miles.

Mobil 1 filter is one of the best designed according to test and beware of the filters that can strain water as they resist flow because of their denser material and could over time plug or collaspe due to this "advertising driven marketing design''.

I use the NAPA Gold filter. Good price, great product...and made by WIX (they make the best filters, and do so for a lot of companies)
The Mopar oil filter (WIX) also works just fine...and is economical.
Mobil1 is another good choice.
Not many here have talked about the Fram.

(PSSSST.... Sams club has it cheaper than Walmart ) not much cheaper but it is cheaper.:) :)
(PSSSSST....True, but not all Sam's Clubs carry the large gallon jugs, or the correct weight. :) )

Fram are good for sedan cars that aren't high performance or anything. Fram is what I used on my father's 1996 Nissan Maxima

I have a question for YOU, "amartin3"....

How many quarts of oil are you going to put in your truck? :questionmark: :questionmark: :questionmark: :heeeelllllooooo:

(And no, I am not kidding.... ;) )

if you put a fram oil filter on i'll find you, take it off of your truck, and beat on your head with it. i wouldn't put a fram filter on my push mower!!!!

I only use -

Mobil 1, Bosch, or Dodge OEM.

More often that not is Bosch.

Need I say more? No! And just in case your a wiseass............I got extra oil left over!! LOL

That is strange, why would M1 do that... I know the ones at Walmart are 5qt for 22.83 in the Toledo area

That is in Hawaiian quarts!!!;) :D I have used fram filters on all my vehicles since 1973 when I started driving. Have NEVER had an oil related problem in 34 years. I use 6.5 quarts Mobil 1 10w30 and 2 quarts Lucas Synthetic oil stabilizer.
