I usually never get pissed off or sad when celebrities kick the bucket.

But man.... I loved that guy. I bet as an every day normal dude he was probably pretty cool to hang with.

Paul Walker Dead at 40 | Variety

Paul Walker, star of Universal Pictures’ “Fast and the Furious†movie franchise, died Saturday following a single-car accident in Valencia, Calif., Variety has confirmed. He was 40.

Walker’s official Twitter and Facebook pages confirmed the death as well. Walker’s death was first reported by TMZ.

According to Walker’s official Facebook page, he was the passenger in a car driven by a friend following a charity event.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department could not confirm the identities of the two victims nor confirm the cause of the accident.

Authorities said they responded to the crash at about 3:30 p.m. PT in the 28300 block of Rye Canyon Loop and found the car engulfed in flames. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s department said the L.A. County Coroner’s Office would determine the victims’ identities and cause of death.

Walker appeared in all but one of the successful “Fast and the Furious†movies. His other credits include “Varsity Blues,†“Flags of Our Fathers†and “Takers.â€

Walker was a highly sought-after leading man in action and indie dramas. Among his upcoming features awaiting release are Relativity Media’s “Brick Mansions†and “Vehicle 19.†“Hours,†a drama set in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, is due out Dec. 13 from Lionsgate’s Pantelion Films.

A native of Glendale, Calif., Walker got his start as a youth in commercials and TV series ranging from “Charles in Charge†to “Who’s the Boss†to “The Young and the Restless.†He began to make his mark in features in the late 1990s with roles in 1998′s “Pleasantville†and 1999′s “Varsity Blues†before breaking out with the first “Fast and the Furious†pic in 2001.

Among Walker’s other notable pics were 2006′s “Running Scared†and “Flags of Our Fathers.â€

Most recently, Walker was in production on the seventh installment of the “Fast and Furious†franchise — an eerie reality given the nature of his death. The street racing franchise is Universal’s most valuable active pic franchise. Walker’s death will undoubtedly leave a significant void in the pic now in production and subsequent installments.

Story developing …

I have to agree from what I've read about the dude. Seems to be somebody we could all relate too. Some people will say how he was probably traveling in a vehicle going to fast, but everybody here has done it. Sound like he was a dude we would all hang out with. Literally a moral lesson as to how speed kills. But we are who we are, RIP bro.

Most reports are stating him as the passenger and not the driver. The other occupant is former racer Roger Rodas.

I agree with you. I was definitely a little sad to see these news reports and to hear if his death.
Prayers to his friends and family as well as his drivers friends and family. Sad time for sports car and truck enthusiasts.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office has determined the official causes of death for Paul Walker and Roger Rodas.

After conducting autopsies on both men, the office confirmed on Wednesday, Dec. 4, that Rodas, 38, died of multiple traumatic injuries. Walker, 40, died of the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.

The deaths were ruled to be accidental. Toxicology results are pending and may take several weeks.

After attending a Reach Out WorldWide charity event on Saturday, Nov. 30, Rodas and Walker went for a drive in a Porsche Carrera GT. Their vehicle struck a light pole, two trees and a speed limit sign. When police arrived on the scene in Santa Clarita, Calif., deputies found the vehicle engulfed in flames.

NEWS: How Paul Walker's daughter is dealing with the actor's death

Funeral services for Rodas and the Fast & Furious 6 actor have yet to be announced. Source say Walker's friend and costar Tyrese Gibson has been helping the family with the latter's arrangements.

Update:

LOS ANGELES— Detectives arrested a teenager Thursday accused of stealing some wreckage from the Porsche that "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was in when he died in a crash, and a second suspect was planning to turn himself in, authorities said.

The theft occurred as the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT was being towed from the accident scene Saturday night, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.

The investigation led detectives to Jameson Witty, 18, who was arrested at his home in Los Angeles and was being held on $20,000 bail, the Sheriff's Department said in a statement. A second suspect, a 25-year-old man whose name has not been released, was outside California and arranging to surrender, the statement said.

Witnesses told investigators that they saw someone driving behind the tow truck that was hauling away wreckage hours after the fiery crash that killed Walker and friend Roger Rodas, who was driving the car and also died.

The witnesses said a man got out of the car when the truck was at a stoplight, grabbed the part, and drove away.

Detectives identified the two suspects, and while serving a search warrant at a home in Canyon Country, a community north of Los Angeles, they found a red T-top roof panel from the Porsche, sheriff's officials said. They would not say what led them to the two men or what evidence they had against them.

Sheriff's detectives planned to meet with prosecutors to discuss charges.

Fuckin' vultures..throw the book at them.

It is always sad when someone dies.

Did not know him but knew of him.

However, as a automotive enthusiast I felt I could identify with him.

Tragedy's like this make me want to live life better.

Thoughts and prayers for his family.
