V1. No question.

The filtering algorithms cannot be beaten. Detection distance is second to none. The signature counter is an absolute life (ok, money) saver.

The worst thing about the V1 is the long ass wait between detection and when you finally see the cop.:D
 
Yo guys,

First off, I understand that the V1 is very popular....

I also understand that if the unit is effective, a cop shouldn't be pulling you over anyway.

But ....!! Doesn't the illegality of these units neccesitate installing them out of plain sight....? I mean, who wants to get busted for anything... (let alone for possession of an illegal device)....?

I've heard of guys who have thousands invested in front and rear jamming of every kinda tool used by law enforcement, as well as detection devices that are secreted away behind the grill and shit.....

Considering this, it's not hard to decide on a detection device (be it radar, laser, lidar, K band etc) For me, how and where to install it for the purposes of concealment vs: effectiveness seems (to be) the greater issue....

Anyone...?

I have a beltronics r75 built in with 3 laser shifters. Damm good unit. Put the head unit right below the radio and there is a green light put on the a pillar above the oil temp gauge.

Bought the unit with shifters on ebay for 500 new, install was another 500.
 
Passport 8500 X50 with seperately mounted mute control works fine for me.

Does it tell you what direction your being shot from, Or how many boggies you have out there?:D

Not that I know of but I don't care from what direction I'm being shot from... Any direction could nab me so it's all the same. As for knowing how many bogies, it only takes one to make your day miserable. The fact is I've never been cited with it on.

I guess I am just lucky that I live in a state that it is not illegal to have one. When I lived in VA I did not have one because it was illegal to have one in that state (common wealth) and the cops had radar detector detectors.

Anytime I think I have a chance on being pulled over though I pull it down. I don't want them to think I am trying to out smart them, cause that would almost guarantee getting a ticket.

I just like to know if it's behind me . Hence could be following , And decide to clock me. Or i am driving around town , And as sometimes happens i pick up a door closer or something , But i see i have two boggies . As i pass i see a police car sitting there also. It just gives a little more security in my mind.:dontknow:

I was at a stereo shop today and they were promoting the Bel rx75 jammer/deyector and its 1000 bucks plus install- anyone heard or are you using- Iam pretty much sold on the V1- 1st i have seen of the BEL
 
you forgot aircraft...V1 and other products ain't gonna do chit if you are in an area where they use dee-plane....:confused:
 
The best one right now is the Escort Passport 9500i Radar Detector my friend has one and its way better than his Valentine One Radar Locator with Laser warning.
