This took an awfully long time for what was done, but it was done as a side project by a guy who works full-time (and then some) and takes his time doing the work. It went into the shop August of 2010 (just when I was getting the 1/4 mile runs down) and it returned home a couple of weeks ago.

It's really a very simple paint job. I had all of the dings, scratches and gouges from a number of screw-ups and random mayhem repaired. The paint scheme is just one line all the way around the truck, and it was done correctly (door jambs, between the bed and the cab, inside the bed rails, and inside the engine compartment). I had the 2nd gen Viper hood fitted, replaced the aftermarket tonneau with a factory 2005 piece with the wing, deleted the antenna, smoothed and color matched the handles, smoothed and painted the hood-windshield cowl, color matched the billet fuel door, and replaced the side mirrors with the Street Scene sport mirrors. The truck was torn quite a ways apart!

Unfortunately, the paint is so nice that I don't feel like risking damaging or destroying it at the strip. I've decided to sell all of the racing gear (Bogart wheels, cage, seat, chute, etc.), so be sure to check out my "for sale" thread. ;)

There are just a few last details to take care of, but the paint is done. Here are some shots in process and of the finished product.

That is sweet looking for sure. After my engine mods I will be doing a new paint job if I can find someone to do it correctly and top notch.

Great job and enjoy.

My best,
