i have rear defrost in mine it also says sliding rear window can't have both
Stuff like that would be on a build sheet, not tied into the VIN I wouldn't think. :dontknow:
I thought 3rd and 4th were body type? Guess not.
Weight? But then shouldn't they all be the same?
Got me stumped on this one.
Great Info!
Here's what I came up with!
2005 SRT-10 Regular Cab
Example: VIN# 3D3HA16H35G733798
3= Mexico
D= Dodge
3= Side Airbags
H= Model> Ram 1500
A= Body Style> Regular Cab Pickup 2-DR
1= Engine Type> 8.3L V10 OHV 20V
6= Transmission> 6-Speed Manual
H= Trim Level> SRT-10 2WD
3= The ninth digit, or check digit, is used to detect invalid VINs based on a mathematical formula that was developed by the Department of Transportation
5= Model Year> 2005
G= Saltillo Truck Plant (Saltillo, Mexico)> The manufacturing plant in which the vehicle was assembled.
733798= Digits 12 through 17 indicate the production or serial number. This number could indicate the sequence in which a vehicle came off the assembly line. Since there is no fixed standard for this number, each manufacturer may use this number differently.
rear window defrost?...
i see that on the website...and i can't say that i've seen that before on any trucks...
Just a long shot but maybe it had something to do with where they were originally going to be sold. Perhaps where they were sold they had to be registered as a bus because of emissions regulations? Where were they sold originally?
Solid rear window. Only seen one of them.
