I was there in my silver QC, there was a grey QC, a black SC, and a red SC. The grey QC is my Dr. and weight training partner. It was her first time to the track and her truck is stock.

This is my first time since installing a full new exhaust. Air temp. and humidty were pretty good. There was an 8mph headwind though.

I removed my back seat, folded my mirrors, ran with 45 psi front/24 rear, and launched at 1600 rpms on the 1st 3 runs.

My runs were:
1 -- 5:59 CST
r/t .599
60' 1.975
330' 5.462
1/8 8.351 @ 85.10 mph
1000' 10.874
1/4 13.010 @ 105.52 mph

2 -- 6:04 CST
r/t .529
60' 1.985
330' 5.500
1/8 8.402 @ 84.72 mph
1000' 10.935
1/4 13.073 @ 105.38 mph

I let my truck cool
3 -- 7:02 CST
r/t .006
60' 1.976
330' 5.434
1/8 8.307 @ 85.56 mph
1000' 10.817
1/4 12.938 @ 106.21 mph

I removed my spare tire and tailgate, and launched at 1800 rpms
4 -- 7:55 CST
r/t .001
60' 1.951
330' 5.384
1/8 8.235 @ 86.25 mph
1000' 10.724
1/4 12.830 @ 107.08 mph

This is my second trip to the track in this truck. I continue to be very pleased. Next trip I'll start the night with the back seat, tailgate, and spare tire removed. I'll also raise my front tire pressure to 48 and drop the rear to 22. I'll continue to launch at 1800 rpm but will put my foot into it faster. I took the advice of a recent posting and warmed my stock tires up 10 seconds or so and had no traction problem. I wasn't stomping it at the line though. Was instead using a fast constant push. One thing that was different tonight than the last time to the track is I was shifting into 4th before I crossed the finish. Would there be a gain by going with a slick at the track and getting it slightly taller to delay the 3-4 shift, or would doing so compromise low-end accelleration negating the time gain of 1 fewer shifts?

Thanks to everyone for the postings. I'm learning from you guys and having a blast.

The only comment I have is that John Force would have been proud to have dialed in his reaction time as quickly as you did!

Yep, the sad story though is I was trying just as hard on the first 2 runs as I did on the last 2 but the range on reaction times was .001 to .599. A typical good night for me is consistently in the .15 to .20 range. I'd be lying if I said the 2 good r/t's were anything but flukes.

Shhhhhh! Statisically speaking, you're below 0.006 50% of the time!:D

Next mod will probably be a shift kit when I get to the 15,000 mile transmission service. Not that I think it'll make a big difference on ET's, I just like a very har shift. After that depending on feedback from the question I asked about slicks, perhaps rear tires and rims. Seems no matter how fast it runs I'll want more. Yep, a money pit but fun.

Hey oldguysrt, I was there tonight at HRP as well along with FASTBLKSRT. We must have gotten there just as you left. I saw the 06 grey QC, BigRed460 in his red RC and Faslane505 in his black RC all running. Me and FastblkSRT didn't run. We watched the others. It was great meeting Faslane505 (Josh) and BigRed460. They both ran low 13's tonight with stock trucks. I was really impressed. I was proud that every SRT run I saw tonight none of them lost. I was also glad that there were about 6 SRT-10's there at the race park at one time. Too bad you were leaving as I rolled in after 8:30 pm because all of a sudden there were 5 out there. I should have gotten there earlier, I would have liked to see you run as well.

Awesome times!!!! I need to look into exhaust and a custom tune!

Venom Power, sorry I missed you there. I talked with Big Red for a while before we left. He was having a blast in his new truck. I always try to get my first couple of runs in about 6pm, cool down, make a couple of more, then get out by 8:00 before the crowd starts to show. On rare occasions I've stayed until 9:00. Yep, I'm an old guy. Was only my 2nd trip in this truck. I made a bunch in previous/hemi. You must have gotten there just after I left. My buddy with the grey QC ran 14.3, 14.1, and 14.1. I'm gonna do the same upgrades for her that I have on my truck. She and I raced once, so an SRT10 did lose last night. I expect to make 2 more trips before the weather warms up and will again post when I plan to go.

I made a 12.9 pass at the end of the night and had low 13's and one throw away, I will post the time slip when I get home. I was nice for me not to be alone out there!!! The oldguy has a fast OC! On a crappy note I backed into a trash can and scrapped up my rear bumper bad.

My bad bro. I keep thinking your schedule would hinder your ability to get together. You do know about this on the 25th right?

It'll be awesome for you to be there especially since you are always the life of the party. Plus you could either bring out the QC, the RC or the Syclone if it's ready to go.

Hey Old guy.....GREAT runs....

ALWAYS PUT YOUR TRUCK IN THE TOW/HAUL MODE...this will prevent the dangerous 3-4 shift.....you have plenty of gear to trap in 3rd.....it will get you a tenth back.....

Great runs!!! Looks like those headers are definitely helping. I hope to join you in the 12 second club today. If not, it's time for headers!

Oldguy, you need to post your time in the "Timeslip" section, and push the rest of us down.

outnumbered you need to put a tool box on the back to go real fast:D

Maybe I should just unhook the Miata.:dontknow:

Nowwhat, thanks for the tip on tow/haul mode. I'll try it next time out.
