Hey guys - My RB4 went TU and the dealership replaced it under warranty. The bad news is they set the volume for 'bitchen betty' to the max and now she scares the sh!t out of me when she is bossing me around.

I have followed the directions in the nav manual and when I get to the config menu, I do not have the volume option as shown in the book. Is there a service mode that I need to get into so I can set the volume???? :dontknow:

I hate to waste another afternoon at the dealership just for them to adjust it.

Thanks

Mark

Mine was like that, too. I think (I'd have to go outside and try it again to be positive) that you just turn down the volume while she is talking. You'll see a blue volume bar instead of the normal radio volume.

If it's not the radio volume knob, then it's the one below it. :dontknow:

you just turn the volume down using the radio volume knob, while she is talking.

OK -- it worked and I feel like a bonehead

Thanks for the assist! You guys ROCK!

That's awesome  I had a problem where mine was too silent and I could never hear the instructions. I felt like an idiot having to make U-turns all the time with a NAV system. Couldn't adjust the volume like the book said to, so I just said screw it :dontknow: and went back to using my Tom Tom NAV. I'll have to give this undocumented method a go right now.

I found out completely by accident as my son was adjusting the volume of the Sat radio when the navigation directions started. I noticed the nav volume go up with the blue bar. Go figure a 10 year old figured it out before his dad did.
