Hey guys, I'm lookin at switchin the RBQ in my truck (05 qc) with a RB1. From what I read it looks like this is a pretty easy DIY, and the best place to pick up an RB1 for a good price is ebay. Does everyone pretty much agree, or are there any other ideas out there? 'preciate the input. CJ

I think the concensus on this in the past has been eBay is the place to look. There are at least 2 of them on there right now. I might have an RB4 available, if you're interested?

Think I'm pretty set on the RB1 based on what I've read. Thanx though.

Which one acually shows the roads, the RB1 or RB4?

From what I understand (and one of the reasons I prefer it) the RB1 has the actual moving map with the roads. The RB4 only has an arrow which points which way you're supposed to go. Someone please correct me if that's wrong, I'd be pissed if I got it backwards and got the wrong setup.

Does the RB1 have a clock?

(I still can't believe I own a $45K truck that doesn't have a clock.)

The RB4 has a clock too on the latest revision of software. It stays in the lower right corner of every screen. It still sucks that there is no visual map though. I hardly ever use use the navagator anyway.

I have the RB4. It does have a clock, but.....
The digits on my G-Shock watch are larger than the digits on the radio. No- I'm not kidding.
F-ing sad.

Even more disappointing is the technical support from Harmon-Kardon (makers of the RB4). It's amazing that the people who make the damn thing don't support it, in any way. Email available upon request.

I'll be avoiding Harmon-Kardon gear in the future.

Rob- are there any dealer firmware updates for the RB4? Do you know what the latest version is? Downloadable?

need to check, if you have your current part number I can check otherwise need to take to a dealer and have them check, but will the clock be bigger, I doubt it

Weak.

I would go aftermarket, but the UConnect is keeping the RB4 in there.
