Rear battery and shut off

Has anyone installed a battery shut off on a rear battery location?
Last time at the track I almost was not able to run cuase I did not have a shut off for the battery relocation.

Haven't done it on mine but my battery is relocated to rear. Just go to Summit/Jegs and get ya one. Real simple install. It's kinda like a breaker switch. Interrupt the ground so no voltage flowing through system.

Autozone has them also. I've got one for my alternator as a kind of surge protector. They are fusible too. Like $20 bux

It would still run off the altenator, if the battery is shut off. need to kill the alt also, but not sure how.

That is what I have, just need to do a shut off that will shut off altenator also.

You have to interrupt the field wire on the alternator
If you just disconnect the battery it will still run

You could wire a switch from the alternators regulator into the truck. Flip the switch and the Alt will be dead. Same type of thing for the battery.
