I know there are 10s on here making over 1300 horsepower at the wheels. Now, my friend is telling me there are street subarus and toyota Supras making that much horsepower at the wheels. Does anybody know if this is fact or bullshit? I'm not too familiar with ricers but if they're really that powerful maybe I should be. :D :D :D :D :slug: :slug: :slug: :slug:

i use to own a 89 toyota supra turbo (mk3) it was my first car. loved that thing untill i blew the head. i was pushing 18lbs never did dyno it thou.

There are some wicked fast Supras out there. Many imports are boosted to the stratosphere. Nissan 200SX's making 800 hp. Hondas etc. You never know what you'll come up against.

I agree with FerrariTruck. Who cares if a Supra or Subaru makes that much HP? I wouldn't want one/couldn't fit in it anyway! I would rather ride in comfort and style aytime!!!!

300's, 240's, skylines, mk3 and mk4 supras, especially.......well over the 1k hp mark....

i had a 3000gt vr4 that was pushing around 25 lbs of boost...but it wasn't a "built" motor...;)

I had a Toyota pickup when I was a teenager. I'm done with them!

I would never own one but Nissan Godzillas are where it's at. Skylines, I thought they were banned in the USA for being just too lethal but I have seen them around. We've got tonnes down here and those bastards MOVE. I have big respect for those cars, far from rice. Seems some people get confused. Rice = big wing, fancy sparkling paint, neons, 100 gauges, and 3 different body kits + stock engine with fart tip. Nissan Skylines, Supras, Evos, WRX STIs, with engine mods and perhaps some 18" rims, appearance wise, everything stock = Japanese Performance cars. Most would put any of our trucks to shame. Hurts to say, but I'm not one to sugarcoat. :D Having said all this, I would NEVER own one and there are many ways to go fast or do 11s and I for one would rather be in a SRT/10 Ram or a classic MoPar doing it. Simply put, they're mens cars/trucks. ;)

Way to go! My 69 Dart weighs less than most of those imports.
I really don't get the weight of the new cars. My old 69 with a V8 just barely passes the 3000 pound mark. I just sold my wife's 2001 Stratus R/T V6 5 speed and it weighed around 3600.

I used to have a 69 dart as my first car. Wish I still had it...:marchmellow:

Ahhh ricer schmicer!!!

Can a Subi, Honda, or Yota, go to Home Depot and pick up a fridge or couple sheets of plywood and haul ass back home?

NOPE!!!!

SRT-10 thankyou, to go...

My 69 Dart was my first car and is still in the garage! I couldn't part with it for nothing. I am hoping to someday finish it with my Kenne Bell Supercharger and fuel injection. I have all the parts just don't have the time/money to proceed. It has a 5 speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch at this point. It is drivable and was going to drive it this summer and then came the 10...

I wouldn't say that there are "street" supras and subarus making that kinda power. They may have plates on them, but I bet they are not very steetable (spool rear end with giant axle, etc). Now, I have seen some completely streetable 800 hp supras driving around. A buddy and I raced one in a bone stock 385 hp 'vette, and the supra surprisingly was not as fast as I though he would be. He won, but we were going way over 100 before he caught and passed us (he was probably still in 2nd gear, lol).

The supra motors are bullet proof. But, to get the power up above 800 hp, you have to spend a fortune (kinda like you do to get our motors over 800). The nice thing about the supras is that they come from the factory with forced induction, so alot of the homework is already done (i.e, there's already a mount for an intercooler up front, the computer is already set for a 2bar or 3bar map sensor, etc, etc).

That's more of the answer I was looking for. I didn't figure you could get either of those to 1500 rwhp without an aftermarket block and such and then, it wouldn't be streetable.
