Reliability of a QC with a paxton

Actually the horsepower that I posed was what was on thedyno. the base runs showed 280 whp and 470 wtq. also the wupercharger was put on in 05 when the truck had 7000 miles on it. so would you leave it or get it if you could get it for say under 19000.00.

depends on the dyno, if it was a mustang dyno they could show different numbers, but for 19k its a pretty good deal depending on what you want to do with it

thanks for actually posting the prices most people on the vca act like youll be banned for all eternity if you did that. really cool of you and thanks again.

LOLOLOL Dude you will find out this is NOTHING like the VCA:D :D :D :D

over there you could nver mention that you have a small itch on the left testicle:p

Nate having a Paxton supercharger myself I could honestly say that I have yet to have any issues with my motor, and I have had for just about 18 months and about 20k miles. Oh and by the way I use my truck as a daily driver I currently have 46k on the odometer and counting.

19k is a really good deal. I wouldn't worry too much about the engine.

well i just won the truck on ebay. if anyone knows anything about it or if anyone could do a quick history report for me that would be so greatly apreciated. thanks again and here is the link. let me know what you all think.

hell....forget the itch....they would go ballastic if you said you had a testicle....LOL

Nate...you are going to enjoy the truck....no hurry to forge just decide what you want to accomplish...talk to vendors like Stinker and they can help you choose the right path....find out from the seller what has been done to the truck.............and post us some pictures when you get it..:)

I live in Va warrenton area. also is that tune that was on the truck harmful to the motor or was it good in that it kept it safe. Im not much on the newer viper motors or paxtons. I just did however just install a roe blower with a 10 # pulley and water meth this weekend. Havent got to drive it yet but will be tomarow on the way home from my moms house where the garage is. thanks again for all the replies. very helpful

What did you install the Roe Blower on..???

oh sorry for not explaining there. i installed it on my 96 Viper GTS. an anyone help me with knowing aything about that truck. thanks again

First thing to do when you get it is take it to a dyno and make a few pulls. Biggest thing is watch the air/fuel ratio, make sure it isn't too lean and the line should be pretty smooth and consistent under boost. The hp and torque on that chart look pretty erratic, may be a slipping belt, if he has never changed the belt it needs it, I was only getting around 15k miles out of a belt. Also get rid of those radiator hose clamps! Change them all to V-band (I call them diesel clamps).

Great buy IMO.

I've got 40,000 plus on mine without any mechanical problems so far. The paxton has been on it since it was new and it is a daily driver!:)

Thanks for the reply 4DR VYPR that makes me feel alot better about buying the truck. Also with these trucks if you only put the base paxton kit that says it gives you 95 hp (on the QC because of the auto) how much power to the wheels is useually seen. thanks
