Remote start

From my understanding it was not a factory option. I did not want an aftermarket system so I inquired about the Mopar remote start at my dealership. Dropped off the truck and the Mopar system will not work on the SRT10 due to the engine start button on the dash. I decided not to add an aftermarket due to the fact they have to do alot of cutting on the factory wiring harness followed by hiding a spare Centruy key up inside the dash so it will start from inside the house. So you lose some security features with the remote system in my opinion. With that being said I personally decided against it. Hope that helps...

I have one on my truck,but it came with the installation of my Viper Alarm system !!As well as the remote window up and down feature,and room for one more remote option !!!

I have a Clifford Remote starter, its just like the Viper alarm. Everything works great and the security is way better. NO WAY they can steal it when you start it because as soon as they hit the brake it shuts down without the key in it.

I have the Autopage aftermarket on mine and I love it. Here in Texas or anywhere it gets super hot or cold, it is nice to start it up and get in when the temp is where you want it. Also, I'm an impatient driver, so it is nice to get in it and already have the motor to temp and oil circulated so I can romp on it.

I am thinking about a remote start. My wife has it on her truck and I love it. As far as security, most people looking to steal are truck are going to roll up with a flat bed and take it. then I would wait a week to report it!!! hope you have gap coverage.

I've been thinking about a remote starter for my RC. I've heard of systems out there that are made specifically for vehicles with standard transmissions that have interlocks built in so they wont crank over if left in gear. Anyone have any experience with systems for standard vehicle's. I picked up a Viper Remote start for my gf's car for Christmas and we both love it. It can transmit from up to a mile away which believe it or not comes in handy every now and then. After using her car a few times with the remote start, I've been wanting a remote starter on my truck! I know I'd have to leave it outta gear but I figure I could just park the truck at my house in neutral. Just a thought!

I HAVE A VIPER ALARM REMOTE START SYSTEM... I REMEMBER THE GUY TOLD ME IT WAS VERY DIFICUL FOR THEM BECAUSE DEA DIDN'T EVEN HAD A MANUAL ON HOW TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM IN SRT10... THE SYSTEMS WAS ON MY HEMI SO THEY TRANSFERRED TO THE SRT 10 AND AFTER 4 DAYS EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECT ...I EVEN HAVE THE REMOTE WINDOWS (UP & DOWN)... AND THAT SENSOR THAT IF SOMEBODY GO TO CLOSE BY THE WINDOW AND NOT EVEN TOUCHED THE ALARM WILL GO OFF... I LOVE IT:rock: :rock:
