I'm trying to clean up my engine bay as much as possible. I have NEVER used my windshield washer fluid. Does anyone know that if I remove this,,, will I get a "low washer fluid" light on my dash?? I'm not sure if our trucks have this warning...

just put in a meth kit on it... that'll give you a reason to keep it there:burnout:

Unplug the wiring first. Then check to see if you get a code.

On my Charger I have removed the WWFR and do not have any codes. And the Charger is an 06.

good point.
if you plan FI, you might want to keep it for meth injection........:D

I won't be throwing it away... I don't see a blower in my future but you never know. I'll let everyone know if I throw a code by unplugging the wiring. If it doesn't,,, one less thing to clutter my engine bay.

for your nitrous, how are you going to tune with your flashed x-metal pcm ??

i'm hearing that nitrous guy's have separate tunes for when they run nitrous & when they don't (switch accordingly)..... personally, that swapping back & forth (even with an sct tuner) makes me want to reconsider the roe again (with forged internals, ofcourse).......:D

I'll be going the SCT route with nitrous so I can switch back and forth with tunes... It will be interesting to do a dyno run with my reflashed X-Metal PCM and then the SCT 92 octane tune to see if there is any difference.
I would LOVE to go the Roe route too with upgraded internals. In the end, it all comes down to how much $$$ I want to drop. Good Times....

i hear ya......

i was considering nitrous too, but the swapping back/forth of tunes & the bottle refills has me thinking otherwise......

On my 06 RC, there is a low washer fluid indicating lamp. It is located in the indicating lamp display section of the tachometer. The low fluid lamp is located farthest left in the display. Will disconnecting the wiring harness cause the light to come on? :dontknow:

Not to hijack the thread but I found out that by pushing and holding the odometer/trip odometer button for 6 seconds while the ignition switch is in the run position (vehicle off) it will change the digital odometer reading to display the total number of hours the engine has been running. To rest the odometer to read miles, start the vehicle and it should reset. Not sure if the 04' and 05's have this capability.

Thanks for your input... I'll check this out this weekend and report back.

Here is a quick shot of my engine bay with my windshield fluid reservior removed... Looks a lot cleaner.. I'm in the process of having a custom coolant overflow tank made for me by a member of this forum.. That and a few other engine bay goodies.

Well, the operation was a success, but the patient died anyway. We (after numerous tries with this stuff over the last couple of weeks) believe we have the process all figured out. I was in the process of polishing the final product and it cracked all over. These things are paper thin (who woulda thought that?)...anyway back to the drawing board, but the proof of concept is there, this stuff polishes just like aluminum...obviously I wasn't down when it broke, but you can see how it was coming out. You can see one of the hairline cracks right below the "MAX" in the first picture.

Matt, I sent you a PM, let me know what you want to do here and I'll get it done.
