I removed the interior for start of my lightweight interior i have a question regarding the wiring i uncovered under the carpet.

1- what all does it control i can see radio , cig lighter, and sensor wires for the seat belts, poer seat. but whats all the rest for?
2- what does the module control under the dash sitting ontop the trans tunnel? looks to be a radio or airbag device dont know?

:)

If you see any yellow plugs or yellow tabs or yellow electrical tape it is AIRBAGS. Please make sure everything is out (battery unplugged and not grounded) before you unhook this. The only radio "modules I know are two infinty ones. One should be behind the air bag above the support brace on the passsenger side and the other one in the lower storage box in the center console.

i believe it to be the device that lets you know your seat belt is unlatched. As for that ill unplug it and bypass it, but whats the wires for that go follow up the door stills and plug in near the bottom of the dash?

Which side? Drivers or passengers? Could be rear brake light? No probably not. Ithink that is on roof. Ummmmmm.......probably a question for Brandon.

i found out which wires are what and let me say dodge is a joke and half of the wires should have been put in the dash no, instead they made a giant loop and put them under your carpet. why would you put you power window wire, locks, running straight threw the center of the cab. Now on have jst one more question on your seat belts you have two sets of wires going to the drivers side, and one set going to passanger side i traced the wires and see where they go but what is there purpose on the belts?

If your trying to shed some weight of this truck your starting in wrong place.

Sorry someone had to tell ya

not starting im ending, ive pulled 180lbs of dead weight in the cab dont seem like a bad place, creative is gone in todays people i guess.

The wires for the belts are sensors for the air bags and/or the pre-tensioners and also "seat belt on" light sensors, I'm pretty sure. Either way, don't leave them out. Unplug them if you're re-webbing the belts or what ever but be sure to put them in. Just raped my interior last week.....

How did you take a picture showing the steering wheel on the wrong side?

He is a brother from down under:marchmellow: and that probabally cost a good buck:rock:

cool, thanks for the help i relocated the wires running threw the middle to under the dash today and because i am not using the factory seat belts i pulled the wires to see what would happen and the only thing that happened was the light came on which i will pull the gauge cluster and fix that problem(remove light):)

Thats chrysler attempt at floor heaters:D :D The purpose of those wires for your seatbelts well is two reasons.
1. to let you know your not wearing your seat belt and annoy the piss outta you with that damn dinger.

2. In the event of an accident we can tell if you were wearing your seatbelt. That way chrysler cant get sued if your belt doesnt grab. Our scan tool will tell us everything and anything if you wreck your car. Its pretty neat actually.

The difference in the number of wires going to the belts is well.......hell I dont know. But I wouldnt really mess with it too much. :(

thats pretty cool but i dont have air bags anymore, im putting in a 5point harness and harness bar. that should keep me glued to the kirky and not the dash. last accident i had the seat belt didnt grab and i got blown away by the air bag. never again

That is why most belts (like our trucks) have pre-tensioners. :) Belts that don't rely on tightening by force which in some cases is far too slow. Like air bags they detonate within milliseconds upon impact. That is the yellow plug on our belts. Post some photos too, always nice to see others at work, ideas and so we can be just plain ole nosey. :D

 There is no "right or wrong". :p It's nice being ambidextrous. Left or right hand shifting? No worries. :D

thats why i jumped my sensors together to fake the computer to think the belts are buckled.
