RIP- Pics of Wrecked SRT10's

Thanks for the information.
The SRT-10 rears are Dana 60 so they are tougher than the 9.25, a plus.
They have the 3rd shock set-up for wheel hop control, a plus.
They look to have a built in slapper to control axle wind up, a plus.
The 05 has the 4.56 gear, a plus.
The leaf is on the bottom of the axle thus its lower, a plus.
Not sure but I believe the rear brakes are better.
Cover is finned for better cooling, a plus.
The complete rear can be purchased for under a grand so for the price and performance increase I think that it's really not a bad deal. I might be wrong.:dontknow:

They're not true Dana 60's. They are 35 spline from the factory which is nice but most are changing them because there are no lockers available for the stock SRT10 axle, also no other brake options for those looking to run slicks. So you're stuck with spider gears which are fragile with drag radials and brakes that are too big for a real slick.

Yea i didnt notice that . The holes for the headlights just looked bigger . Plus it didnt have the bed cover

Yea, there are very few dead giveaway's, but that nose is one of them, the tail gate another. The Dash on an 04 vs 05. 06 is a dead giveaway. There are a few others

I never know what happens to them. Not much left of this truck. Somebody will buy it for scrap. Some of the vehicles are tagged as Bio, that means they ethier had a meth lab in them or blood and guts. I used to look at Wrecked Exotic Cars - Pictures of Expensive Car Crashes and Wrecks when I had time, some of thier pics would have a description of how the accident happened and if they had injuries.

That's sad.
I was cleaning out the computor desk drawer and found a memory stick. I put it in my camera and found a video of my Son driving my 07 Chevy PU. He starts out with the camera pointed out the window at the spinning tire and then points it at the speedo as he takes it to the speed limiter, all the time laughing and says "this is my Dads truck" to his friend.
I am keeping it for blackmail when he has kids. I am fortunate he didn't crash When we leave town now all the toy keys are locked up.
Was your Son hurt in the accident? Or did he get hurt after the accident? How did you handle it?

Yep. Totalled. Fire wall was cracked. State Farm paid my claim even though my son was not on the policy and drinking was involved.

Son wasn't hurt. (Either during or after the accident). However, I refused to bail him out of jail. (Nor would I let any other family member spring him). He ended up spending three weeks in jail.
