Well I am still in Afghanistand and the Wife just made it from Cali to Alabama in the truck.. 2033 miles in 4(ish) days with a 2yr old in the backseat.

Our trucks do really well on road trips (at least mine does). I did Tampa for Fort Leonard-Wood, MO earlier this year and back a few months later then left Tampa and went to Fort Campbell, KY. Each trip I was hauling hundreds of pounds and it held up great. On the drive from MO to FL my wife drove quite a bit and I have to agree, having mama take the reigns is sexy.
