Roadway Line Paint Removal?

Anybody have any ideas on how to remove yellow raodway line paint from a clear coated vehicle finish? So far I tried 3M's fine cut rubbing compound on the less splattered areas -- it came off but took quite a bit of elbow grease. The more concentrated/damaged areas will be more challenging. Maybe a clay bar? :dontknow:

Nah...

Although, this is my parent's Toyota, I was leaning towards the sand blaster, 100 grit paper or perhaps a special caustic mix -- some of that yella paint is pretty thickly applied. But I figured my Dad wouldn't like the results of the ol'skool favorites so its ye ole Clay time (and a few brewsky's to go with it).

Enamel Reducer will also work. I heard this from someone else, I have never done it.

Kleen Strip-Prep All Sold at any part store in the blue can. The amount you dont use save and use once a year after clay bar and before waxing.

It removes everything the claybar leaves behind included old wax, residue, sticker glue, road grime and contaminates. Pour it on a new microfiber and rub liberally over your entire truck. Keep away from plastic, its not as caustic as spirits but will turn your handle gray until your Meguires Back-to-Black it.

It is 100% safe for clear coats, removes old wax and leaves a much smoother finish for your fresh wax. :rock:

If you wax 1-3 times a year and touch up with wax as you dry when you wash it. THIS PREP ALL IS NECESSARY! Gotta get all that yellow shit off before you put new down.

no matter what its gonna be a pain in the a$$. I've used pain thinner at work. The claybar probably will not get the heavy stuff off.

I used 3M's adhesive remover on our Vette. It's totally paint safe. Just needed to wax the area again, but otherwise zero impact.
