Proline, just above Atlanta, builds engines for Underground and is who built mine. I had them price out different levels of build and really the difference is only a couple grand between a good build and a really good build. It's expensive to pull these engines and have them rebuilt, deffinately do it right the first time around!
I went with CP pistons, Oliver rods, ground crank to chevy specs, billet mains and caps, cam, headwork, and crower roller rockers. Out the door a hair over $14,000. This will take more than the 1000+ a little that I will throw at it. That said, the hp to clear 1000 is coming from nitrous so the motor will be tuned a bit conservative for everyday to extend its life.
Basically the same build but w/o billet mains, not grinding the crank, and lesser rods was still around 11 grand + engine out and back in anyway. If you truely plan to hit 1000hp you need a full build. Instead of installing nitrous right away put that $$ into your motor, you'll thank yourself later.
