Sean already attempted but it was cost prohibited. David Weaver also researched it for months. I must have some 45 emails from both of them on the subject. Sean had a Gates rep sit down with him.

Looks 2 7/8 to 3" inches however. Like the rest of us.
 
Bone, I had the 2 7/8 inch pulley on before the build. This pulley is 2 1/2 inches. With this combination, the blower will be spinning 16250+ rpm's.

What about an idler pulley that is on a base/braket adjustable via a bolt?

Kind of like imporrt car p/s systems set ups... this should be able to alow you to make a belt fit to size/add pressure to belt.

Another idea i had was to just to design a pulley for the blower that would stick out farther and have custom crank pulley as welll to run an isolated belt for blower. kinda like the pro charger
 
i know very little about this as i do not have a charger, however that being said, what stops you from putting a larger pulley on the crank? then it would spin faster. if you wanted everything else the same speed they would need bigger pullys, but you would not have the slippage problem. i am sure someone has thought of this before.
whats the max speed of this blower?

Did you read posts #1 and #10??:dontknow: ,LOL:D , They are running the larger 7" lower crank pulley already,Stinker has been making them for awhile now:rock: .

Ok, so you don't have it on yet. I was looking at your picture and the pulley/belt should have been even with the housing if it was 2.5" but it is passed it like mine.

But not necessarily the best fit/traction for the belt. Cart before the horse. I am looking for a belt for optimized contact and traction. Your idea would best fit any belt to a system.

Example, I could take a 95" belt and best fit it with your system. However, I could take a 94.5" belt and best run my system with even less slippage.

I havent checked this thread for a bit bone, but looks like you want to tighten up the belt a bit, if you go by napa you can(if you have a good contact) go behind the counter, and get diffferent size idlers, they arent much and can be had it different sizes

No, mine is tight as heck right now. My question has been turned around a bit now. But that is fine.
 
I forgot to mention that we added 1/2 spacers in between the block and the A/C compressor.
