ROE CAI Finally Available from JMB

Looks nice Dave...how does it affect the Whooooop, Whooop??

Have not gotten on it yet with the CAI. Still working the VEC extension harness in the cab and my other truck.

Honestly, don't notice a sound difference.

Looks better in person. Plus, you can take off the Roe heat shield that covers up the engine and SC. So the engine bay looks much better. Plus, the massive CAI is impressive.

I will have to get his coolant tube now too!

Update:

IAT are lower (Intake Air Temps). Roughly 6-9 degrees cooler than before. So the 'cold' of the cold-air intake is working.

In addition, the meth injection seems to be doing a much better job atomizing father down the CAI.

For those that didn't know my setup before, the intake air sensor was on the filter directly attached to the throttle body.

Still getting nice comments on the looks of it in the engine bay. :congrats:

Good job Justin.

I sent Justin a few comments on a PM to slightly improve on it for the next person to try this setup.

what is the difference between air temp and the IAT reading?

Are you asking specifically at different speeds or standing still?

Or are you asking the definition of both?

Outside air temp vs. IAT. I have a gauge to actively read IAT. I watch it shoot down when meth/water is injected.

Justin

Payment sent for the radiator pipe and NOS nozzle to fit CAI.

Bone with this set up does the filter sit in the open area next to the radiator.

I missed this part, the other way looks great but I love having all that free space on the pass fender well.

Justin what is the price on this kit?

How is it running Dave?
Like Stinkers mouth when he is drunk! :burnout:

Justin that is for the one with the box, I really like the one you did for Bone.

Off topic but your mid pipes, you make them with 2.5" catback connections right?

Nevermind Justin, I've got bypass cooler piping running in that area.

But the reg cia will look great.

I got buzy and forgot about this thread........I am interested in the difference in IAT and outside air temp while standing maybe 1 minute and once you have driven about 1 mile and at sustained interstate driving............looking at your picture of the CAI...seems you would be pulling much hotter air from behind the radiator??

I think it sits in the open area where the hvac lines run, if you remove those black covers behind the grill it opens that area to outside air.

correct, just remove the plastic cover(s)

I noticed 6-9 degrees cooler. I have a direct read of IAT and outside temp on my steering wheel.
