Has anyone come up with any ideas or given this anymore thought? Has anyone thought of cooling the air before the supercharger? I'm sure if you could cool the ambient air by lets say 40 degrees before the supercharger it would be 40 degrees cooler after it. Does this make sense?

Blackviper in all seriousness, Call Justin, talk with him about it;)

I think you should be able to do an intercooler like that, or you could call spearco and talk with them also

If ya'll guys really wanted to lower intake temps, why not do a 50 shot of nos also, just enough to lower temps:dontknow:

I spoke with Sean this morning and he does recommend using an intercooler beyond ten lbs of boost. He also recommends opening up the holes in the diverter plates in the intake to allow for the increase in boost beyond that. I'm just trying to get a game plan together for my build this fall. I'd like to shoot for 750 rwhp or better without the use of nitrous.

focus on the cam, it is the heart of a good direct build;)

that and reducing friction.

but take a chance, call spearco, talk with them , see what they say, they build tons of intercoolers:D

The problem with the Super Chiller or any other intercooler beneath the supercharger is there is no space. I asked Sean about the new unit he will be using and he said it doesn't add any more space either. The problem is how close the supercharger sits to the windshield cowl area.

Anyways, keep the thoughts and suggestions coming.

water meth cools better anyways, doesn't it?

Just got to keep the bottle full......................... a before the charger cooler wouldn't work, unless you ran it through the evaporator, but that won't work because under full throttle the ac kicks out wot switch. So you would be pulling warm air for the engine cooling system, creating a restriction and the air only heats up after it's squeezed past the rotors. So a Aftercooler would be your best bet......................

GOD I'd love to be able to have this "PROBLEM" :) what cooler for my ROE!..... One day :)

There is no problem keeping the water/meth container full...I have run six or eight times in an afternoon at a local track and only used 2/3 of a gallon. Under normal use I add a couple of pints a month.

Now this is wild and exotic, way out of the box...

How about a container that is charged with cold air from the compressor via a switched pump with primed outlets in the throttle body. The air is captured during run ups...and then force fed into the throttle body during runs maybe controlled by the VEC, and when the meth is injected, the captured cold air is also force fed...while it would not be the total source of air, it would be cool enough to lower the intake temperature during a quarter mile scamper...

Just trying to think out of the box...

Get back in your box Roy..;) ...that is a thought Roy...might just work...would be similiar to stinks idea with the small fog of NO.......one thing to remember..if you do come up with a way to cool the air you may need to re-tune....cooler air is denser thus the A/F is going to be leaner..

I kinda like Tony's concept...a little shot...but I would want it to be much less complicated...and less labor intensive...no purge...large container...a little shot at just the right time to keep the temps from peaking out...

you can, its called a sneaky pete, jsut a small canister of nos, with a button and a inlet hose;)

Liquid nitrogen...that's as cold as it gets...a drip system...remember the high school assemblies where they would shatter a hot dog???

Or a coil in the throttle body...
