Don't waste your money on the e3's, they're snake oil. nothing special, no special metals used, just special advertising. I would chalk these up there with the splitfire spark plugs. no improvements over stock other than the bigger hole in your checkbook.

Here is the reason Not to use Platinum plugs and Meth. It causes a catalytic reaction under heat that causes pre ignition / detonation.

This is the same reaction that allows model airplane engines to run.

Using Platinum plugs and Meth is the sure fire way to explode your engine.

ive seen an increase of i wanna say 17 hp over other plugs on horse power tv.

those crap tv show's are backed by the advertising dollers so they will say anything, some things are good that they push, unfortunately the advertising dollar will quiet any naysayer when it lines someones pocket. don't they also pedal the z-max bullcrap(which also has a class action lawsuit with a permenent injuction against it). carroll shelby lost my respect when he back that crap.

HAHA 17 hp. that's funny, maybe after a tune up and the other plugs were bad. 17 hp on an average hp vehicle, say 300RWHP is a lot from spark plugs. if that were the case all vehicle manufacturers would have changed over to these fancy plugs because they were so efficient.

Iridium is proven as a great plug. heck they put them stock in the some of the new GM's line up.

How do you fake the dyno? Thats how they got their #'s from,same conditions,3 pulls each,hmmmmmm.....

they never showed the dyno runs on those. just stated what the manufactures claimed.

I think they did a dyno on a LS1 and gained 5 HP. and that wasn't a back to back with a new set of stock plugs

Yea, it is really weird, you can let a model engine sit for months, flip the prop and, ouch the damn thing will try to lite off. It only takes about 200 degrees temp, a little meth ( primary ingredient in model fuel) and the reaction can happen due to the platinum( or rodium) element in the glow plug . The compression alone creates more than 200 degree temps in the combustion chamber and that is all that is needed to start the catalitic combustion sequence.
So it would seem the same could happen when spraying a lot of meth and using platinum plugs, (causing detonation/preignition)......Scary thought

With that plug # is the the heat range that is recomended with the ROE? or is a colder plug
