Raced a Mercedes SL55 with my Q.C. from about 30 m.p.h. to 120 m.p.h. (on a controlled race track of course). Anyway, not much happened either way until about the 120 m.p.h. mark, then his afterburner must have kicked in and he pulled away in a hurry. He then slowed down, got along side of me, yelled something in German and gave me a big thumbs up. Then he fired his afterburner again and left me at about Warp 7.

The SL55 has a supercharger 476HP/516TQ and is a fast little car. They are governed to 155 m.p.h. though

Question: How fast have any of you gone with a S/C'rgd QC? I trust the outcome would have been considerably different if I had been S/C'd...

Thanks.

with a paxton, it would have been a great race. The high rpm boost loves it on the freeway....

It would have been a closer race for sure had I been Scrgd' but that car was a bullet from 120 m.p.h. on. My truck was just pushing WAY too much air at that speed.

It is a good thing it wasn't an SL65, those things are 605 h.p. :burnout:

I see you have both the Roe and Paxton. So, do you think the Paxton is more suitable to the trucks? Feel free to pm me if you like...

those 65's only put about 420ish to the wheels....despite their flywheel claims...but the big benz's are geared for the top end....I had a CL55 with some work done and they move after 50mph....

The '55 was fast for sure.

YOUR TRUCK however is an inspiration to us all!!

summed up from having both....

Roe on the trucks are cool if your not going for the big HP and want to have a blast stop-light to stop-light.

Paxton if you want upwards of 700+ and want the power in those higher RPM's.(road racing, courses, etc..). Its a well engineered proven system that works and works well.

That'sthe cliff-notes version for ya :)

yea dont race him from 100 up,had my ass handed to me on the florida turnpike one afternoon by one of those sl55's

Hey Ron,

If i remember your in Calgary correct? If so, and you feel like it you should join me this Saturday in Three Hills for the Show and Shine. I'll be more then happy to show you the Roe. Right now the tune on it is IMO very poor and with a bit of work it will make the truck a ton of fun, not that it isn't right now. :) I was torn between a Paxton and the Roe what ultimatly did it for me was how well the Roe shows itself, it's a beautiful system and doesn't "crowd" the engine. As for performance 1fast400 has shown that the Roe TSTM can be taken to high HP but honestly around Alberta how often would a person make it to the drag strip or have a chance to use upwards of 900-1000 rwhp? :dontknow: My motorbike is bad enough only being able to use the stupid thing 4 or 5 months a year.. :(
