Roe SC

I just check my resevoir, it is obvious its working by the drop in fluids

Yeah that's what i use... damn thing drains too fast though. :) I swear there is a hole in the bottom.

You guys make me so jealous talking about this and that on your bad ass roe system. One of these days I WILL be part of the FI family!!!

One call to Roe Racing and a MasterCharge number...what's so hard about that?

I have a well employed spouse...cash is the coin of the realm here. Charge cards leave a paper trail that the spouse can follow cash leaves no modification trail...

It is now official. It has been ordered and according to Dave @ Roe I should have it in about two weeks. What can Brown do for me today? Deliver my SC!!

1 SC kit W/VEC 3
1 Harness Ext for the VEC 3
1 MSD Wires
1 172 stat
1 Meth Injection
1 Crankcase breather

What/where do you get your meth/water solution from? I hear some run just plain windshield fluid, but I hear that is not what you really want to do??

It's recommened to get Meth, MSD Wires (or Boomers), Bosch Plugs that Roe stocks, VECIII (no question here), Stage II PCM, and exhaust with high flow cats (or no cats). Headers are up to you. ;)

Why would you need a Stage II PCM and the VEC? The VEC is capable of controlling the engine PCM, just wondering why you would need them both :dontknow:

Just crossed my mind....what is the button for on the meth controller...nothing in the instructions about it...:dontknow:
It is a primer button. After you get everything installed, you want to activate the pump until meth is sprayed. This ensures that when the engine is into tuning conditions requiring the meth (advanced timing) that it is there instantly and not waiting.

The Stage II is needed to unlock the torque managment in the QC's something the VEC III can't do. I know it does a few other things the VEC can't do.. just can't remember right now.

When mine drained fast I found that I had a leak at the fitting on the pump. The leak allowed the fluid to syphon out. A little drip will drain the tank in a couple days. In my case I pulled the tube out cleaned it up and reinstalled it making sure it was not in a bind at the connection. Leak was solved.

I pick mine up from work as we use the stuff by the barrel weekly in winter and then i mix it 50/50 with distilled water, works awesome for me. :D

I'll try and dig up the post on Meth, someone had posted where to get a good deal on it.

I know if you get water in the VEC it likes to inject the stuff like crazy until the VEC is dried out again.. haha. I've never had a problem with any leaking though, just my heavy foot. :)

Mix your own meth at a rate of 50/50 water to meth. The meth can be bought from a local speed shop or over the net. Or use -30 windshield washer fluid.

I also regret not polishing the intake manifold while I had it uninstalled. It would have taken only a few hours on the polidher to make a little bit of bling. Another mod to consider is the IAT mod. Roe now reccomends it. I would also consider the throttle body, but it is not required.

Is it a full Stage II flash that Roe sells? I thought it was a stripped down version since the VEC will do everthing but change the fan cycle and TQ management.

From what i know it's a normal Stage II.. mine was sent to B&G for a flash. It was the only part i was waiting for they had everything else to go when i ordered my kit last year.

Mine also, but I was under the impression that it was a custom flash for Roe. But I have been wrong before, and this may well be the next.
